What's better than finding a buffalo nickel? How about three in the same hole, plus a 1940. I know the photo is a little rough that's because Im on the road in San Antonio at the moment and I don't have my tumbler. Not sure if I'm going that route as old nickels take a little TLC to clean. I can read a strong 37 on one, a 22 or 24 on another and the other one is super crusty, but I hope to clean as to see the date. All were found at a local HS close to Ft. Sam Houston about 4-5 inches deep near a huge tree. I also found a 37 penny and a 44 20 centavo Mexican coin. I've been hitting up all the vacant lots were old homes were once but its a tough slog as its filled with rubble and garbage.
