11/18/2013 Flint City finds.

I hit flint city today for about an hour. Didn't find any whole points but I did find this broken base, which you can see where the weakness was with this nice fossil that probably lead to the break. I also found a little perforator base and a broken stemmed base, that one would have been a smoker. Thanks for the look.

Nice! That last one would have been an outstanding find if it wasn't broken. But still some really nice finds!

Not bad for an hour. What material are your finds from Flint City? Many of them look white. Pretty cool that one site tends to yield a consistent material.

I think most of it is Burlington Chert. It seems to have been their go to material of choice and there are big pieces still lying around up there. Here's a piece I found today.

No sir. Got about 2 minutes of rain and enough wind to blow all the leaves off the trees. The bad stuff was north and east of us. We lucked out.
