135 coin day in State College PA

Friday I had a great day in State College. I pulled out 135 coins 1 at a time out of the public parks. No private land and no school yards, just parks. Man a lot of digging. I was lucky enough to pull Q 29, D 21, N 5, P 80, a button and a pendant. State College being a large college town has lots of parks. I hit 12 of them in 8 hours with driving between them all. I feel I had a pretty good day. Thanks for looking.

My knees are a little sore. But really not to bad. Mostly dehidrated from being in the sun for all of those hours. Even though I tried drinking water every half hour. I had plenty in my cooler just the sun gets to you. I would have thought a piece of jewelry would have popped out too. This is an anual trip for me and last year I pulled like 7 small pieces of jewelry. Just not to be had this time. Did get a baseball helmit, soccer ball and a jump rope for my god daughters. It is really hard to believe how much stuff gets left behind. In every park there was at least one jacket or tshirt. With 29 parks in town there is a lot of places to hunt. Last year I was able to spend a couple days there and hit them all. Talk about tired.

I am not really hardcore. I just have the ability to join my wife when she travels for business. So while she is working I metal detect. I only do the marathon days about 12 times a year when I am either at the beach on vacation or traveling with the mrs. I try to metal detect about a hour to 2 hours a day 5 days a week normally. With every couple weeks being able to pull one of these long days.
