14K gold today

Well it was nice to get back last night . I have been working out of town all week and it was great to see my family

. This morning my plan was to get up and hunt early but my body said it felt good to stay in bed :sleepy2:

. At 10 :30 I finally got out to a school up the street from my house last I have had good luck at . I decided to try and find some gold . The gold came fast only 20 minutes in I had a +12 at 2 inches . It was a cross pendent . Turns out to be 14K gold :headbang:

! It weighs 3 grams , I'll take it . After that I found bunch of clad and the typical playground stuff . I did find and old button at 5 inches . Total clad for 2 hours was $10.92 and 19 coins of that were nickels ! I was trying for gold :icon_thumright:

Yes I'm stuck on number 96 :'(

As for the gold , I do not think it's all that old . The school dates only to the late 1960's . I think I'm going back out tonight to hunt it again .

Your Gold Item Might Be Older!!! It looks like a Bible Clasp, some old bibles Had decorative gold Work!! On the top of it looks to be a hinge of some type!!! Great find and HH Chug

I think you are right ! I had not thought of that . It does look like a hinge . I would look at it up close but I already sold it . Thanks for the info !
