Hey Good Folks,
I did two short hunts this weekend at the beach, and found a nice 14K white gold wedding ring. Besides being marked 14K, it is also marked TW within a circle. I've googled, but have been unable to find the TW maker's mark. Is it possible the TW could stand for 'total weight' even though it doesn't have diamonds? I'd certainly appreciate any info on the TW marking. Happy 4th, Breezie

Re: 14K Ring marked TW (Total Weight or Maker's Mark?)

THOSE ARE NICE FINDS.... yes tw means total weight. and yes it usually it refers to the total weight of gems, but in your case i see no gems. maybe it's 1 part of a two part wedding set, and the other piece had diamonds

TOT thank you for your reply and pic, and I understand your logic. Whenever I have seen 'total weight,' it was in lower case with periods; t.w. I was thinking since this was capital TW and was within a circle, it could be the maker's mark. :dontknow:
