Nice picture! My uncle had a tiger eye ring that had a star effect I think, could that be right?

It could! I was told that it's a natural star sapphire but I haven't been to my most trusted jeweler with the ring yet. When I get it repaired and polished I will post new pictures. If you go to google images and enter brown star sapphire you will see stones that look like mine. The straight lines are in them as in mine. I have a tiger eye ring (my favorite found ring) it's on my index finger in my avatar :) There are similarities in the two stones to be certain but the new stone seems to resemble the brown star sapphire pictures the most. Either way the stone is chipped and a tiger eye is cheaper to replace haha.
