I guess ruling out by checking the obvious sides, than everyone will be surprised. If you find it. Now as me and tata Samuel Flores, are making extra effort in the archives. Mel fisher and the rest were digging out stuff in Sevilla and so on. And we do so too. At 2000 ton plus the 1605 was double as the San Jose with 1030 or so. Means also more treasure in tons. Which is a good argument for extra investigation. In Panama end of the month.
Now, emerald fleet that was intriguing me.
No wonder I the Colombian government wanted the position of the San Jose for the price of the 1605 fleet at serranillas. From SSA. Sure. SSA could not provide, because they did not had the position. 1:0 for Columbia. I have all on file. Liars and thieves. So how can we get the license, let’s say an ok to check out the sides? Because we have the paperwork, written in old spanish style, but yes it’s all written down. Samuel master of this stuff. Research is everything. AI don’t know shit.

You are doing your research one sided. Documentation.
The other side is the economic viability.
How much does it cost?
What are the risks?
What are the economics of the revenue, cost and risk factors?
How much revenue has Colombia obtained to date with the San Jose?
How much has Colombia spent?
How many schools, education and health could Colombia have provided to its people with this money?
What is your plan to offer a better deal to the people of Colombia?

You hit the nail on the head. As far as I know your idea of dividing the cake before it’s found has not worked ever. Same as the San Jose. 30 years of litigation, and Ongoing. Now it takes a tenth of the time Mel f. Needed to find the ships. Certainly or even faster. It should be a national sport to Digg out shipwrecks. Like finding a Pyramid. Did the pyramids serve the people? Yes, it’s called education of cultures. So it needs cooperation, and mostly important the implementation of international laws, by protecting any people of being robbed in slavery. This has no statue of limitations.
Spain has recently been very happy making contact with the colonies, ex colonies still part of an empire. Plenty immigrants from s America etc all now legal in españa. So let’s see how the oldest colony in Bolivia makes Spain honouring the contracts. After all signed by king and queens. Yes , that’s a matter of documents and if Spain would pay a 100 million dollars, so what.? That’s cheap to start with and get digging again in Bolivia. Happy after all. Geo politics are imported if you don’t want to attack Iran and steal oil. They are many ways to skin a cat!

Yes, I have memories of my experience at Serranilla that I have expressed here before.
More recently, did a Colombian arch actually take pics of cannons there?
Did Dr. Cohen ever find anything that would suggest 1605?
Did diver Joe Barnett actually find an emerald gold ring at Serranilla?
Is there any merit to the rumor that artifacts have more recently been found that suggest 1605?
