I was looking at Google Earth and seen an old cart path in the woods. So I decided to go take a look and there was a old foundation on the side of the cart path all over grown...I found this coin and a musket ball ..could you please help me ID the coin and how old do you think the coin and the musket ball are. ..seems like it may be a promising spot but the mosquitoes nearly flew away with me..thanks for looking

Regal British halfpennies from 1729-1754, but can be separated by issues from the obverse.

1729-1739 (Young Head)
1740 - 1745, no 1741 (Georgius)
1746 - 1754 (Georgivs)

Thanks! I learned something new about George II coppers.

Way to go! Great score, I'll bet you were psyched when you saw that come out of the ground.

Congrats on the nice copper! haven't found a KGII in a couple years. Is go back with long sleeves and a hat and hit it hard. But I'm crazy like that lol that's why it's hard to get anybody to detect with me. Ill be out in the puring rain 95 degrees and covered in ticks and won't stop to dig a nice copper

Lots og good info thanks everyone:notworthy:
