1700s silver ring and buttons

Nice little silver ring, I know this is 1700s from the look and where I found it in the colonial farm what's this thing in the last picture at the bottom? And the button in third picture? this land was settled around 1712, by a family who was kicked out of new bern, some dispute with the family who founded new bern nc. the family still lives and farms here, i have found many colonial coppers, hundreds of buttons and cut spanish silver, but this little ring is about the best,
