1725 Crowned Shield PHILIPPUS SPANISH REALE and nice BUTTON

HEY GUYS AND GALS

Out for a very quick hunt last night after supper.

Almost didn,t go...Grabbed teh CZ-21 and Cousin Ed and hit the shore in a spot hadn,t been to in over a month.

Figured would be a bust as there wasn,t anything there last 2 times out to that spot and was giving rain --so short hunt.

But I was totally wrong !!!

The whole beach had completely changed..the sand had shifted all over the place.

Ed found this button...poor picture as was getting dark and used the truck interior light to gte a pic.

Any ideas on the button

Still doing it! You're certainly going to have a huge piles of goodies once you have some years under your belt.

The finds are starting to add up nicely and some nice finds amongst it all.

Am fortunate to have lotsa time to hunt and in a great area to hunt helps.

Saltwater is so not kind to silver sometimes.

Think this is best I will get it without electrolysis.

I think the American buttons had a rope around the anchor, and the French ones were plain. I'm thinking it's American, possibly? Rev War era?

Oh god my hands look like they went through a blender man. Scars and broken old crooked fingers. I've had more stitches in my hands than Frankenstein had. I wouldn't have joked about yours if mine weren't so damn ugly. I call them MAN HANDS! Blue collar working man hands. Perfect for digging in the dirt. I don't even use a shovel. :-) ha ha
