1788 Vermont Copper! Rare Variety??- Video Added!

I finally got out today and tried my new White's TRX. The fluorescent cap came in handy because I left it behind after my last dig of the day. First dig was a deep nickel which turned out to be a 1904 Libery Head, pretty beat up but glad to get a date. The next was the copper...not a good signal at all, but glad I dug this deep signal. It must have been on it's edge! Also got a bird band (still working on the number to track it)
and a tiny silver coin which is likely to be trime.

I say the same thing because many of my friends have found them, but what's funny is me being in the same boat as you, only my boat sits at a dock about 1,000 miles North! :laughing7:
I'm still waiting for a lot of things... I think your Flowing Hair more than makes up for the lack of an NJ. :notworthy: Edit: That was meant for Neil.

Hundreds of large coppers? I've found ONE so far. Not fair to find a Vermont copper in PA! Bring that back here to New England! Great find, though!
Yeah it's a bit different here up North. We have our fair share of early ones, but a lot of 1700s/1800s British and Canadian tokens, and large cents.

Hey Neil,

Great find in really nice shape! I'm still looking for one of those. Thanks for the note. Gotta keep looking for new spots.
