After work I shot over to a cellar close to home that I thought we hit pretty hard in the past.with all the rain we had and lack of vegetation that little inner voice paid off! some nice stuff came out of this cellar including a Rev War cannon ball that lynne dug. back to back coppers a CONNECTICUT COPPER & a 1794 TALBOT, ALLUM & LEE NEW YORK ONE CENT CONDOR TOKEN (a 1st for me) a couple buttons,a broken iron Jews harp, a piece of pewter with a flowered button design pressed into the face of it & a aluminum bird band that reads Avise call Washington,DC.was spitting snow and raining but, glad I decided to give it another whack!

Great finds, best time to detect is when nothings growing

Sweet relic and coin hunt, congratulations! :occasion14:

Love that token, I've never heard of one of those. Also I'm pretty sure the pewter piece is a button mold. Nice finds for a short hunt

Look at the edge of the coin. Does it say "Payable At The Store Of"?

You seriously rocked those finds!

Nicely done, and all the best,

Lanny

Some good keepers congrats!

Great variety of coppers there...keeps it interesting!

Just saw that token the other day when looking through my coin book.

Awesome piece of early American history that you don't see coming out of the ground too often.

Other finds aren't too shabby either....:notworthy:

Sweet digs!
I had to look up the token/coin you found, because, well, I've never heard of it before.
really interesting history, love the fact that some were cut down to produce American Half Cents.
Don't know if I've ever seen one posted here.

Some great old finds you dug up there.

Really a great hunt you had, liking the coppers, Congrats

it's a lettered edge just hard to read what it says

That token is sweet, congrats

The condor tokens are kinda of scarce, I found one many years back, nice finds all the same.

thanks! a pewter button mold would be a harder substance than the pewter button.either brass or iron.I think somebody just pushed a button into the melted pewter for ha ha's
