Found a new spot in the woods not far from one I had great success at last year. Not a lot of coins to be found, but what I pull up seems to be what I'm looking for. Although the LC is kind of toasted, it's a 1798. I always like finding coins with a 17 at the front of the date. The silver ring was found about 30' from the large cent and appears to be Victorian era. It's always nice to throw in a couple of Indians and misc artifacts. On the pocket watch on the left I rechecked the hole and found the winder. Pays to recheck your holes. I went back today and found a Spanish American War button made by Horstmann out of Philly and an unusual ox horn topper.

Great finds! Thanks for sharing...

Congrats!, I bet the bugs took a pint of blood from ya in today's miserable heat and humidity in the woods

Don, that ring is fantastic!!! I'm a coin guy, but... Great finds. -Tin Foil

Great finds Don! Little bit of everything and any hunt with a 1700s coin is a great one

your a good little detectorist

I think these are dream finds ("sweet dreams are made of these ") What is the hallmark inside the ring ? really could help with dating .
The Draped Bust Large Cent is a very nice and important find !

I could spend a weekend detecting the spot you were at and come home with just the large cent and be smiling from ear to ear. Wonderful finds.

NICE HUNT - NICE FINDS

What a great variety of sweet finds! I'd say you have a good spot there.

Nice Finds! Me by myself, ive found like 5 rings already in like a 2 week timespanse :laughing7:

From first look, that ring could have a bit of age. Compared to my LC's yours isn't toasted, lol. Just lightly browned. I would have mistakenly thought that topper was a flagpole end. I like it as much as any of your finds simply because it is new to me. Thanks for teaching me something new this morning!

Awesome! I could handle a day like this anytime.

Very nice finds. Congrats.

NY has some sweet spots ! If every hunt was like that , :occasion14: G Staff eagle is a beauty!

Great finds I'm shifting to the woods and rivers/creeks from the fields since the crops are all planted and getting high. Hope to have the luck you have had.
