1800s GOLD CAMEO BROOCH

This is the cameo I found yesterday, after more research I learned that they were given to the wife on there wedding day,
It will have there portrait, had painted on it..
I wanted to give this its own post because you don't see these everyday, ESPECIALLY in this condition..

I hear ya. Going back to my little crappy beach today just to try my luck a little. Great beaches here in Nova Scotia but not great close to me. All old fishing trash it seems or can slaw! [emoji19]

Ha I always get along better with animals than people so I'd be happy to share with the 4 legged friend. It's funny cause I'm getting super busy work wise and I'm very happy about that but I'm also thinking to myself "oh great less time to detect". I guess there's worse problems to have lol.

that's really nice. the hinge and clasp lean more towards the Georgian period than Victorian

A very nice Brooch does it have any assay stamps the pin looks a darker colour, and a lot of these were made from pinchbeck to resemble gold. But a nice find none the less.
