1802 Reg No. 2 Phoenix button found with Deus 2

Took the Deus 2 to my river spot. Previously unhuntable area due to black sand overloading the Nox. (!)
No issues with the Deus 2 in Beach P
Reject black sand on. First target. About 6” deep with a thin layer of sandy crust around it. It fell off easily then rinsed with water and let dry. This makes the 3rd Phoenix button from that spot. 1. Reg. No. 28. 2. Reg No. 2 which was the queen’s Regiment. There will be more goodies coming out of those black sand areas now. It came up a 87 on the Deus 2
16 on the Nox. 😉

Well it’s diluted a bit. I’m right where the Columbia River runs into the Pacific mostly fresh but has salt too. It’s the black sand concentration in areas. They get the gold from Cape Disapointment off the beach. Thanks.

It was its maiden voyage. I thought it would work great watching Paystreak Superfreak video on the black sand rejection feature. If you haven’t seen it👀 it’s worth a watch and I’ll be if it isn’t working for me.
