Both sides of the Necklace charm have Republique Francaise, a womans head with laurels and 1803. It gold toned and weighty. Any information on this piece would be appreciated.

I'm not sure it's a coin, what I described to you is on both sides of the find. It's pretty cool, it might not be valuable but it is to me as it's my first find with the new detector. I was kinda hoping for some good news, oh well I can always go out and look for something new.

Your probably right in that it isn't a "coin" I can't think of any right off that have a date ? on both sides, And a denomination is almost always present.
