Met up with a Group Hunt last weekend organized by postalgriff and craigv3. Hunted an old cellar hole in Michigan from the 1830s. Getting trash on the bottom but started swiping the side walls and had a nice hit. Could not pin point the signal which seemed to be behind a stone. Dug and removed the stone and out popped my first Large Cent. Big fun!! ;D
Thanks for looking!

Congrats on a nice recovery. Sides of foundation walls are an overlooked place where people tucked stuff away. Remember, there were no banks back then. Even when there were banks, people prefered to hide their valuables. Congrats.....Hogge :headbang:

There *are* LC's in Michigan!

Thanks for keeping my dream alive. If you don't mind saying, what county are you in?
I'm in Milford (35 miles WNW of Detroit). This village was settled in the 1830's; one of these days, LC or Large half-cent..
A discolored Sacagawea dollar last year fooled me for a few seconds.

I am in Genessee County but this coin was pulled from the Group Hunt in Jackson County!
