Decided to take some backroads through the hill towns on my way home, found a town park with a big field and spent a little time hunting around. Really hot out in the sun so I worked the edges for a little while, got a very faint 91 on the Deus and found a 1827 dime about 9 inches down:

Last time I found a capped bust was two years ago also in July. Nothing like seeing old US silver in the hole. Also managed a 1820 large cent and a sterling ring:

Looking forward to getting back there this week, obviously an old field and I have a feeling it is pretty much untouched.
Thanks for looking,
Steve
