1827 Large Cent today

[Don in SJ]

Went out for a couple hours to the site that I found the very large design button and 1819 Large Cent at last week. I searched the perimeter area this time, got some hunks of iron, the usual shotgun casings and one medium size button and a decent 1827 Large Cent. (Newcomb 6) Overall a satisfying hunt at this site on a cool February day.

Buckles, I enjoy finding the Large Cents, but prefer the earlier year ones , guess my next hunt will be at a couple much older sites, time for some colonials, so perhaps weather permitting this Thursday or Friday I will try one of my older sites than the ones I have been hunting the past week or two....
