found this at an old home site today a mint 1835 capped bust dime and hears a link to the video of the hunt...... ............

congrats on the find! Capped Bust silver is still on my want list! You may want to consider keeping it as "natural" as possible going forward. If you feel it's more appealing shiny, you can always do that at a later point. You can't, however, reverse the shiny-ness once it's there.

Looks like we have the shinny verse dirty debate. All I will say is its a good job you have the video, as the proof that it was a dug coin has been deleted. To me the black on old silver is part of the character of the coin & should be appreciated as part of its history. But you found it so its your decision.
