1835 - one frac

So I was out test panning Sunday and at the bottom of my pan I found a 1835 one franc - at 176 years old I would think it must be worth something. . .any clues?

Now age is not always the same as value !

Is it a french franc or what ?
A picture of the coin would help a lot !

I realize that - It is french - I do believe it is silver. . . . I will try to get a pic up Tuesday.

those coins are mostly very rare and if you got great grade and right mintmark then you could have values as 200 - 300$

The coin is composed of silver; 5g, 23mm and in 1835 twelve mints produced the coin. The mintmark will be at the 5 o'clock postion near the rim below the date. The most common mintages came from mints "A", then "W" then "B". What is your coin's mintmark?

Thanks for the info Don - I will have to check the mint mark when I return home. . .
