Hi all,

Took the day off and had a great hunt again. Started out really slow pulled the toasted copper. then the fattie Indian head(can't get a date off it). Shortly after that i got a decent signal on the T2(81) and out popped this old ladies wrist watch. It looks like there is some small bling in it, and will try to find a maker on it.

So now it's noon and I thought maybe I would leave, but, decided to just eat in the car and try somemore. After lunch I got the King George and the 1839 half dime.

Beautiful day and I hope others enjoyed it as well!

Thanks for looking,
Don

Re: 1839 half dime, counterfit copper?

nice early halfdime, I'd say the copper is real.. From what I've seen some of the copper gurus on this forum say, the USA-dug George III's are almost all counterfeits and the George II's are almost all real
