1850's Opium damper scrapper

Well just got it confirmed from the "What Is it" section ! :hello2: My wife and I went on our weekly metal detecting adventures in the California Sierra Mountains. A friend of mine owns a property in what was once a small mining town and allowed us to do some metal detecting. As usual we were hitting targets left and right, mostly square nails and cans and small pieces of wire and such. After about 4 hours the wife was getting tired and signaled me and let me know she was done for the day. :whip2: I not about to quit just yet I managed to do another half an hour as she rested by the tree. As I was swinging my coil near a huge oak tree I got this signal and as usual dug very carefully and uncovered four inches down this beautiful shaped silver spoon. Confirmed by a super -sleuth on this forum :icon_thumleft: as a antique Chinese opium damper scrapper..a very rare item to find from the California Gold Rush..Weighs in at 4.1 grams and is 3.5 inches long.

Very very cool I knew that was not any kind of serving spoon that I had ever seen. :icon_sunny:
