1858 O ngc 65 half dime

Could someone please help me out with the value of this coin. I have come across it and paid $800 for it was wondering if this was a good deal

That's a pretty good buy. NGC gives a retail value of about $1600. There weren't any on eBay in that grade for current or sold.

Should be roughly $1200 retail, so I would say $800 is a fair price. I just hope it is a strong example of a 65 because there is quite a drop in value between 65 to 64.
