1861 Half Dime & A Few Buttons

Hi All,

These finds are from this past Saturday. I hunted a 1700's house I had done quite a few times before. It was about a 3 hour hunt and it seemed to be a relic kind of hunt with a few buttons coming to the surface, which is very fine with me . Then in the last half hour of the hunt I got a real iffy signal, so I dug it and out popped a 1861 Seated Half Dime from about 4 to 5 inches. This one happens to be the third one I have found. The other ones are a Seated and a Capped Bust. This half dimes make the half reals look big . Anyways it is always cool to dig those funky denominations they use to mint. Thanks for looking.

Don't know for sure, but they remind me of toe or heel taps that were popular back in the 1960's and earlier.
