1863 south carolina paper currency

hi everyone, during a remodel in Conn. , i was removing plaster in a 1920 home
and after the plaster was gone the remaining wood boards needed to go, when removed i found inside a space some newspapers, and this full sheet of currency. i have searched for days trying to get a value, but it is all single bills, i have seen nothing of a full sheet. please i need help with this, any info would be great. thanks

there not counterfeit, i was offered 1500.00 from one person, and 200.00 from another, thats why im trying to find out value. thanks for your post

as far as i know they used these because the lack of coinage during the war.

Sorry I can't help with value but there must be some sort of paper currency organization that could help. I've seen some of the other bank notes go for some decent amounts on eBay but they usually have more detailed art work.

Best thing u can do is go to www.ha.com that is heritage auction house it is a high end coin etc. they will give a free appraisals thru email... you will need to be a FREE member to use the appraisal service.....

My impression is these notes came with the denomination (and sometimes the issue day) printed in RED on the reverse, in a manner that the RED letters would appear in reverse from the obverse side.
Maybe your sheet was awaiting that next step.

WOW thats a BANNER find there! Treasure comes in all forms, even BILLS and I would say this is one of the coolest finds I've seen on TNet since its beginning! Congrats on a stellar "House" find........MAN, I VERY seldom buy things, but since this is a find that cannot be METAL detected.... IF I had the money, I'd probably want to have it in my collection also! BIG BIG CONGRATULATIONS again
