Here is a little sneak preview of an upcoming Detecting Savannah Episode that I will be posting in a few weeks, but the footage is from yesterday's hunt. The bottles dug were both 1866 John Ryan's, but one was a cobalt blue large letter soda and the other a dark amber cider. The amber cider bottle was a surprise and a very nice rare specimen. You can see in the short video that I could see the cobalt blue John Ryan, but thought the other was just another soda. It wasn't until I got them home and cleaned them that I could see what I had actually dug.

Very nice bottle finds, congrats! :occasion14:

Gotta be more to be found there, those are some killer bottles. I would be back in that hole with my probe real soon.

Those are some very nice old bottles. Very rare I'm sure. Congrats on the awesome digs.

Thanks guys. I'm not a huge bottle collector either, but the a John Ryan Cider bottle just like mine sold on ebay last September for $750. The other colbalt blue one is more common and goes for about $150 to $200. I may have to start putting some time into bottle digging too.

Here is the video of digging the bottles- Detecting Savannah Episode 17- The John Ryan's

Outstanding finds and excellent video as usual!

Great finds that will make a bottle collector out of you. Well done on the video
