Finally found my first gold ring after 4 years of detecting.I tried looking for the missing gemstone, but failed to do so.Nevertheless was super happy with this 10K ring.The makers mark
Belongs to Samuel Holzapfel 1867-1922 of Austrian origin.

Very nice find, whatever the center stone was it was a honker. If it was a diamond then someone lost a sizable fortune.

Awesome find. I would go back to where you dug it with a little sifter and check the dirt for the stone. I have had success finding them that way.
