1867 2 cent piece

Hi all,

Would you clean this coin or leave it as is? It was a surface find I made as a kid some 30+ years ago and it looks the same today as it did the day I found it.

I would leave it be. I do not see it coming any cleaner than what it is, without ruining it any further.

I found what I think is a 2 cent piece because I can somewhat make out a 2 in the center. It is very crusty and very bad pits in the back.How can I clean it? Please help!!
