Found my nicest dime today, 1875cc Seated Dime. I also found an interesting bell, but not sure how old and what it was used for. :icon_scratch: Button that says BCS (Boston Cadet Staff). Some other jewelery type looking item. I have to post some items under "what is it". :icon_thumleft:

Very Nice Garabaldi

Great dime there! I found a very similar bell last year, it was a from a yard ornament, hung from an upside down U framework that stuck in the ground.

I wonder how it made itself to mass from Carson city seeing its 1875. Maybe someone went out for the gold rush and brought it back with them.

Great finds!!! Congrats on that beauty CC dime!!

Dave

Nice stuff! My first seated was a CC! I have a weird question. Why is the mint mark located under "DIME" and not under the wreath? Did they change the position of the mint mark? My 1876 CC the CC is under the wreath at the bottom? :dontknow:

It was only in 1876 that I'm aware of that the Mint Mark was located in the traditional location and under Dime like on this coin. Traditional location is worth a bit more but I'd rather have it like this one, one year only! Higher coolness factor! :headbang: :headbang: But any Carson City is special.

Nice finds. :icon_thumright:

Awesome Dime! Just curious, what part of the country did you find the Carson City dime? It seems that 90% or more of them are found in the west coast.
