1876 Dime

We went over to Independence Pass today, which is still closed. On the way back near Twin Lakes we pulled over to look at the creek, and I noticed people had been camping along there. So it wouldn't be a total loss I got my DFX out to find some change. Not much of nothing, then I started finding some spent cartridge shells, of a pretty old type. I didn't even pay much attention to the next hit, I just dug the beep. I saw it was a coin and saw ONE DIME, and since I'm still thinking modern campers my first thought was "Crap, Canadian money!" But then I figured out it was a seated Liberty, in pretty good condition. Well after that, I dug every little beep. Apparently this was an old cabin site, but there was nothing left of the house. Nothing was deeper than two inches. I never found any clad at all, but I was pretty happy. This is the oldest coin I've found so far in Colorado.
