1879-O Morgan Dollar

This has been a good year for firsts on the coins. I hit a bulldozed lot today that looked like it was mostly fill dirt, but i tried it anyway since i was there. After 20 minutes of digging up alot of trash, i got a $1 hit on my MXT that i just knew would be a beer can. 2 flips of the shovel later, i saw a large silver disk that i thought was aluminum........but ended up with my first Morgan ever instead

Thats a killer morgan!!!! ,,I have been hunting off and on since 1973, and have not dug a morgan.

Wow! A morgan Dollar - that's a find to remember.

Not surprised about the doubts one has before they actually get the good find since the other 99 times your at the lot digging a $1 dollar singnal it's an aluminum can.
