Hey everyone,

Been a good month since I last posted. Haven't been doing as much hunting this yr with the new born and work. But the times I got out here and there were decent.

One of the highlights in the field recently included a first on the surface Barber Quarter. Now I've found a good bit of barber quarters. But never one right on the surface.

Didn't even have dirt on it. I've got barber dimes on the surface but not quarters. I thought when I first found it and picked it up. It was just a Reggie Quarter.

But to my surprize it was a really nice 1892 quarter. Nothing real special this take. Been alot of relics lately. Some old coins.

I had alot more pics but for time reasons I'm just putting up the best items as a group. I'm not even gonna break down the finds. Just common wheats, indians ,war nickels ,mercs , rosie ,washington...

If you have any questions though I'd be more than happy to answer or explain.

HH Jer

Thanks guys,

Shrecky try this. It works great throughout P.a. Works great on the stock coil and 1400.

Take the eeprom high pro program on the unit. Make these changes 1 by 1.

Target Vol 63
Audio Threshold 6
Tone 200
Ac Sence 85
Accept rej -40 through plus 95
Pre amp gain 4
Sweep speed at 3
Best data on
Tone I.d on
Recovery Speed 28

Double ground balance the unit out. If you get it to run. I can't see why you wouldn't get great results with it. I set my brothers like this to. Gave it to him. And he can't beleive how deep it goes and how loud it reads items.

I don't think I left out anything.

Hope this helps and good luck

Great take for not being out much! I'm guessing someone must have recently lost that quarter...

That's a great assortment!

Well done indeed big daddy Jer!

You're one of the all time greats on here!

Thanks alot guys,

I'm up to 3 now. So time is limited. And the demand of the dollar is needed. I haven't been able to get out in the evenings any more.

I've been able to in the past yrs. But now I'm down to just the weekends. If I don't have a million family things to do.

Then if I do get out. It's really early and I'm so tiered I'm about to fall over while hunting lol. That 1400 is heavy on 4 hrs of sleep.

But I just can't stay away from the history out there waiting to be discovered.

The past few months are the slow season for me. I will pick up this fall and winter. I'll have more time to get out. And more of my area's will be open.

Badger,

The yrs are starting to add up aren't they. Thanks for the support and recognition over the yrs on here. Glad to know I'm still on top of this hobby.

Hi congrats on your finds. Those Tags you have been finding ,in my opinion would be workmen or miner Checks. the small doll would be what is known as a Penny Toy circa 1880.Where the coal mines in your area mined by the Cornish settlers??
