After four days of temps in the teens, it finally warmed up to 36 degrees this morning. We still have at least six inches of snow on the ground, but I went metal detecting anyway. I only lasted about an hour, but I did find my third silver coin of the year. It's an 1897 Barber dime (no mint mark), which beats my oldest Barber by six years. Not a bad day!

Thanks, Bum Luck! Only lasted 45 minutes today. It was 22 degrees and cloudy when I went detecting this afternoon. No silver, just one clad dime and three memorial pennies.

The snow had a hard crust on it today, so I had to scan on top of the snow instead of sweeping the coil through the snow. Made a big difference, since all my finds were very shallow.

Going to be 40 degrees tomorrow with rain in the afternoon. Looks like I'm going to have to pull an early morning run if I want to get any more silver...

Way to be dillegent and get you some silver. Congrats.
