Going through my finds I came across a ring that is stamped 18KGE Does anyone know what that stands for. The last letter might be a B or an E.
Thank you,

Could it be 18KP? In the context of gold jewelry, "plumb" is an old-fashioned term that means that the fineness or purity level of the gold content is precisely what is stamped on the item. The word "Plumb" or the letter P still sometimes follows the metal stamp (e.g., "14k Plumb," "14KP"). My wedding band has 14KP stamped on it. Be cautious, however. Items on EBay now use the letter "P" to signify plated.
If it is a dug item, you can usually tell plated items. The soil will stick to them, and it will show signs of discoloration and/or corrosion.
