Well Folks, I recently had a retina surgery and was laid up for a while. Just before the surgery I had scored permission to detect a 1901 home, so for over a week I had visions of sugar plums dancing in my head just dreaming of what I may find. I finally made it over there yesterday, but not sugar plums to be found. :icon_scratch: I recovered a few things, but nothing too exciting. The house I was told sat vacant for some time, so I'm pretty sure someone hit it before me. No big deal, I was happy to just get out again.
I plan on giving the relics to the owner.

Here's a video for your viewing pleasure:

That's all Folks. Thanks for looking.

D, that's not a bad haul for a 'popeye! :laughing7: I particularly like the Art Nouveau button. I'm glad you were able to get out and swing!

PS: As far as the Spanish cob is concerned, I've told you not to squeeze the Charmin . . . .poor cob doesn't have any kernels. :laughing7:

Good hunt MM and I know you were glad to get out. That little ornate brass buckle is cool. Spanish cob is Banner. Token is cool and I think BB calls the St. Joseph relic Catholic religious medallions. We dug some in Louisiana. WTG & HH, Q.

Here is what the token would have looked like in better days.

Fun vid, great choice of detector. Looks like you got a couple of really neat finds. That button with the wavy designs is actually my favorite. The token is really cool too. I've found a couple of those umbrella things too, and they were smaller in diameter as you noted.

Topped the hunt off with a cob... you bring the butter and salt!

Thanks Buddy. I've always loved the Tesoro's. They have done very well for me over the years.

I was going to say Art Nouveau, but the early style loop shank threw me. But I guess they made them later too (obviously).

Actually I have found a couple weird things at early sites, looked almost Art Nouveau but they were the wrong time period. Never know what you're gonna find!

Good try, good finds, try that spot again. There is probably a couple silvers hiding in there somewhere.

Thanks TH.
There are two areas that I ran out of time to finish, so I will need to go back at least once more.

Thanks Mikey. Looking forward to a few high octane margaritas and being pelted by Caden's spitballs. I need to wear a face shield.
Can't wait to detect in SC. That will be a first for me.

It always feels good getting back in the "swing" of things. Glad you're able to enjoy again.

A nice place to restart the fires too!

Excellent saves!

The Tootsietoy was modeled after an actual concept car. It's a 1941 Chrysler Thunderbolt as designed by LaBaron. Cool toy and some of the actual cars still exist. Tootsietoy made the toy from 1947 to 1949.

Nice finds. I think that the wrench is one that came with a Maytag wringer washing machine with a gasoline motor.
When I was a child my Mother had one and the wrench fit the oil plug and gas tank.
Good luck & HH
