Hello :hello: new here,

I was wondering what would a 1908 Lincoln wheat be worth if there was a real one?

Thought i had a real one but guess not :BangHead:

Since the Lincoln Cent did not exist until 1909, I would be of the opinion that you have a damaged coin, or made a typo when entering date.

Time for more coffee.

Let’s see a pic

It's not a date error. it's 1 of 2

If in fact it was “1 of 2” both coins would be worth millions on end since there is not to my knowledge any known examples of such transitional errors. The 43/44 copper/steels errors are in the hundreds of thousands if not millions if I’m not mistaken so a coin that is “pre design” would be worth multiples of millions. No one can say unless there is proof

It is likely an altered 1909 , or possibly a complete fabrication - I'm leaning toward the latter .

Interesting, although the “08” looks like it may have been altered. The “8” does not look symmetrical- if you notice the right side of it resembles the shape of the number”3” used on dates like 1913, 1923 and so on. Something wrong with the “0” as well, should be smaller and slightly higher.

I think it’s an altered date coin. A neat addition to a collection but not genuine in my opinion.

Yes you're right. I checked it out and looks altered. like you said. neat addition :)
