Went back to a site I hit the other day and found 3 more wheat pennies, Dates were 1909 V.D.B. 1934 & 1936, also found a old tie clip. For a 1909 V.D.B it has to be a S to be a key Date any information would be appreciated, Here's some pic but you can't see the dates, wish I could take a better pic.

Congrats... And yes it needs to be the "S" for the key date. But you still have a nice find!

Thanks for the info even if it was bad news:laughing7:, Good hunting.....

Like I said, it is still a good find. I have several 1910's, but have yet to find any 09's. So I would be happy to just get that YEAR ;D

Cue the heavenly sound effect now.
I digress. I love wheat pennies. :D I can't believe you found one in the ground. Last time I found a 1909 it was at my gas station in my change drawer. Sadly, mine also was not a "S". Still cool to have in a collection. Great finds!

Congrats on the 09 VDB  last year I found my first 1909S but it didn't have the VDB.

Congrats on the 1909 V.B.D. and other finds!
