I detected a farm field today and found a cool watch fob. I went home cleaned it up a little and researched it. I found a newspaper online which adevertized it. Turns out they were given out for free if you bought 10 cents worth of "Tuxedo Tabacco". So its a pretty find in that I was able to learn so much about it. Also I do not own the rights to the newpaper, "The Reading Eagle".
On the back I can make out 14k Gold Plated Geniune

I like! Very nostalgic.
Funny, how even back then there was gold-plated stuff. Having gold back then meant a lot too I imagine so.

How do you like the Vi3?

Nice Fob!! Did you read the part in the tobacco ad that says it provides "healthful enjoyment". :laughing7:

Well, your research made this easy to identify. I found this today in the rear yard of a friend's house that was built in the 1700s. Awesome piece of Pennsylvania history. Love the old advertisement.

BOY LOT OF WATCH FOBS SHOWING UP , ANOTHER NICE ONE.
