1917 S wheat penny with strange error

I have recently found a 1917 S wheat with a round circle like stamp over the "LIBE" in liberty and also on the reverse side of the coin. Under my jewelers loop you can almost make out a B or a D. very interesting! if anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it. Sorry these were the best pictures I could get. Cheers!

I agree it's PMD (post mint damage) and happened later in life. Damn shame. Now it's only worth a penny.

I think someone punched a hole in it and then they, or someone later on, filled it in with a different metal.
