My favorite find for some time has been a 1936 chauffeur's badge, because unlike a circulating coin, it belonged to one particular person. Well, now I have two. It's only partly legible, and then only at just the right angle with just the right amount of water on it. Based on examples I found online, this style was only used in 1928.

Non-dug:

The best part: I found this at 3-4 inches in a park. This and other clues say that park has not been hit very hard.
