Found this today at an 1800s farm site in NJ. Its made by Manoil and dates from 1935 to 1942. The first two pics are the one I found, the last pic is one I saw online.

Cool find, the only lead toy i have found was a ww1 soldier with a tommy gun sans the helmet

Yours is also an early Barclay. They came with tin helmets held on the head with a wire pin through the hole in the top of the head. Barclay was the only company that did this. Cheers Sub 8-)
