Sorry they aren't very organized, one double and one missing :-\ . I'll find it later. That is 10 year old Tyler steering and running the brakes. He actually wanted to go back to school so he could tell everyone :D.

It was (is) allot of work but......the engine and transmission were all rebuilt already so it was more "cosmetics" ::). I'll have ro get you some interior shots. Oh it actually is a working dump truck. Believe it or not they fabricated that bed from scratch.

I can appreciate the hard work (and money) it takes to see a project like this all the way to the end. I built a 1937 Chevy pick up truck complete with rack and pinion steering a 350 Chevy engine and automatic transmission. It took me 12 years to get the thing done.

Thanks for sharing,

If the guys worked in the winter around here it would have taken that long. But when the ground freezes, you can't dig it up. So it was several guys having something to do all winter. They did work hard too!

Cyn,
BEEYOOTIFUL!
Thirty years ago, (OMG could it be that long?) they filmed a movie around Norton where I was living at the time. An acquaintance of mine had an old truck that had been lovingly restored and the movie company leased it for the duration of shooting. He made enough money to build up a nice little nest egg.
Ever think of putting your truck to work? Advertisers pay a premium for that "hook" to get people to look at their ads.

grizzly bare

ps movie was "Coal Miner's Daughter"

Gerry would be thrilled to have someone want to use it in advertising! If I knew how to go about it I'd give it a whirl for him. I guess I'll have to do some research for him. I would have never thought of that!

P.S. I love Coal miners daughter, great movie. I can't wait to see it again just to see your buddies truck.

He kept wanting to mount it to the hood of the Cadillac ::). And I would NOT let him ;). So he figured he could get away with it on this truck. He actually has a brand new radiator cap that will go on it "IF" he sells it. Those little piggy's have been in the family for generations ::). And I wonder where he gets it from?
