Got out to the Oronoco park today and took me awhile to get through town because they are having there gold rush days and I didn't take the camera.
Well the woods keeps giving up coins and the Indian Head I swear I went over that spot with the DFX. It was right next to a big tree and I always detect around trees. And it was only 6 inches deep. I could tell the ground was blanking out the threshold tone in a big area. Still don't know how I could have missed that and outhers have missed it also. The tree was 13ft. from 4 footings in the ground that I was told is were the Mayo brothers had a cabin up until early 1920's to 1930's.
I got the 1937D Buffalo in the first hour of five hours hunting. It was only 4 inches deep and I thought the tone sounded like junk but I dug it because I've been trying to clean out all the junk in this woods. I think it's my third buffalo from this park. I have picked up a lot that others have dug and left.
