Was searching some otherwise skunky nickels yesterday when I found a late model 1950-D Jefferson. I believe it was originally a 1959-D that someone quite capably converted to a 1950-D by removing the tail on the 9. It's a actually a pretty net coin and I'm considering putting it in the book until I find a legit 1950-D. Anyone ever seen / found a modified nickel like this before?
