Hi All, I wasn't treasure hunting today, but found this dog tag beside my house while doing a little improvement work. I must have scraped it out from underneath as I was leveling the dirt to set some blocks. This house was built in 1952 and the dog tag was stamped in 1951. I'm gonna do some talking and showing it around and try to find the old soldier or his kin. They might get a little kick out of seeing it again and having it back. I'll post back if successful. Happy Hunting! and stay warm.

Thanks Mac. I believe he is buried in the Caraway cemetery. I'll try to locate his family there. I already knew the blood type and religious preference stamps. But had to research about the T51. I'm a USMC vet. 1971 - 1978 and my dog tags didn't have the tetanus stamp. I'm not sure if the Tetanus stamp was discontinued or if the Marine Corps just didn't include it in their issues. Thanks again for your help.
