I found a 1954 quarter in my pocket change today, I just thought it was pretty cool cause I never found a silver quarter in my pocket change. always finding old nickel, pennys, and dimes. but this is a first.

silver quarters don't come by too often. I don't find them often when detecting either. congrats

Nice find! That's a nice feeling to see that in your change.

Nice find. Got to start checking my change more often.

Wonderful feeling for sure.

I think the feeling would be something of nastalgia. It's not often we actually find "real" money in amongst all of this fiat currency that we have been handed since the late 60's.

Cheers,

Ralph

Love that feeling and the SOUND it makes when it hits the other coins in your hand and you just kNOW you have silver....love it love it love it :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright: BTW a quick question, that county is dividing creek in? I was asked last night to help a Past Chief of a company down that way with moving in his washer and dryer. He moved up here to NY last year and had a stroke recently....was just wondering if he possibly was from your neck of the woods.

Ditto....

This is so odd that you posted this. I got a 1953 today at the post office.

I didn't get it for face value though. I offered her $3.50 for it, which is almost all the cash I had on me.
