1976 strange dime

[bowser]

this dime has a prominent rim on each side, like a deep dish pizza anyone know what it means.

[Coins4Cheese]

When the mint makes coins, they raise the rims up to protect the coin from wear. Sometimes, they over do it, which causes a coin like yours to form. Very common, not worth keeping.

Worthless without pepperoni.
