Well that's interesting... don't know much about paper money errors, but seems like someone raided daddy's collection to buy candy!

My thoughts also it,s in to good of shape to been in circulation at all .

Awesome!! Since there appears to be no "bleed over" to the obverse, where it was cut, I would venture to say that it did indeed escape from the mint that way. I would imagine that there are at least 2 others out somewhere with big ink blots on them.

You would have to check with an experienced collector though. I have no idea if it's worth anything.

It is unusual for one to get into circulation with that large of an error.

i have never seen anything like this before, it is probably worth more than $1 if it's not a fake, i have yet to find an error bill here in Canada, but with new plastic bills coming later this year to replace the cotton based bills maybe some errors will appear.

Yes, it's called an Ink Smear error--for the obvious reason. A MINOR smear increases a note's worth by $20 over face in VF; or $50 in UNC. I'd call this a MAJOR ink smear error note and worthy of a greater premium.

Thanks Mr T looking more closely at the bill it looks like it was just made not a single crease or fold or mark on it , it must of been taken out of someones collection and spent for coffee just before i got to the coffee shop it,s definitely UNC grade a rare find indeed ;D Jim
