Finally got to take my new DFX out that I bought myself for Christmas. It's been taunting me for over 3 weeks and I finally got the break in weather and work to get out.

Sorry I dont have pics but...just wanted to toot my horn.

Finds: 4 clad quarters, 6 clad dimes, 1 nickle and 3 pennies,(zinc)

I didnt expect much, if any, silver, I've hit the park several times...but I was happy with my finds for the first time out.

Oh, and I found a metal car that rang as a quarter at 2.5 inches and it was closer to 6".

Congrats on the new machine, glad you were able to get out and hunt with it.

The more you use the DFX, the more you will come to love its versatility. Many HHs

YOU WILL LOVE THE DFX. IT WILL TREAT YOU WELL. TAKE YOUR TIME AND LEARN THE MACHINE. DO BENCH TESTS, AND BURY SOME TARGETS IN YOUR YARD ALONG WITH JUNK ITEMS. STUDY THE VDI SYSTEM, THATS ALL YOU`LL NEED TO LOOK AT....PACO, WWW.BONEDRYDETECTING.COM

Take your time and just get used to the different readings then go into a program that uses tone id or turn it on... Once you learn tone id...you will hardly if ever look at the display...I only use mine for depth readings...

We're getting some nice weather in the Burgh again; hope you are able to take advantage!

your doing great already just keep it up.... like me.. and I am still learning..and using the presets ... soon nuff we both will have absolute great things to show everyone..just dont get discouraged at all...

WTG! I don't think you will be disappointed in your decision to go DFX. I've had mine for almost 2 years, and I'm still learning. Check out all of the TNET threads pertaining to DFX. And, read, read, read.

ok newbie here please tell me what clad means when you all talk about finding coins?

Hi Al

Glad that weather is cooperating with you. I have my MXT leaning against the stereo cabinet waiting for the weather to break. It is suppose to be in the high 60's here in SE Ohio for the next two days but my girlfriend called and wants to do stuff because of the nice weather. SIGH

I guess it is short term over long term. (spring is coming) Anyway... I will watching vicariously through you in the upcoming warm spell. Hope you find a lot of great treasures with your Christmas present DFX !!!
